Among a load of dead Jaffa SG-1 free some Abydonians including Daniel's father in-law Kasuf. He tells Daniel that she has taken the boy and Daniel sees Sha're near a tent.
Sha're stands outside a tent.
Two Horus guards come out and Daniel kills one of them, Teal'c the other. As the other SG members are attacked by Jaffa Daniel enters the tent and confronts Sha're. Amonet is in control and says that the boy is somewhere he or the System Lords will never find him, she then gets Daniel in the grip of her ribbon device. As Amonet starts to kill Daniel Teal'c enters and raises his staff weapon ...
Daniel wakes up back at the SGC, he can't remember much. They tell him that Sha're is dead, Teal'c had to kill her to save his life. Daniel says that her guards must have saved her using a sarcophagus but Jack and Teal'c accompany Daniel to the morgue where they show him Sha're's body. Teal'c tells Daniel that he would make the same decision again.
Daniel sees Sha're's body.
As Daniel rests he suddenly sees himself under the ribbon device and hears Sha're's voice asking him to hear her. Daniel wakes up and finds himself back in the infirmary as before but Sha're is alive, she has been saved by the Tok'ra, the Goa'uld removed and revived by a sarcophagus. When everyone has left Sha're tells him she has only come to tell him about the boy, she suddenly seems to get pulled back into some kind of rift. Daniel wakes up again, he asks Frasier about Sha're and is told she is dead and still in the morgue.
Daniel goes to see Hammond and tenders his resignation from the SGC. Jack goes to see Daniel, he is moaning about the guy SG-1 have been given instead of Daniel, a Robert Rothman, former understudy of Daniel. Jack tries to talk him into staying but Daniel will have nothing of it. When on his way to the lift Teal'c confronts Daniel, Daniel will not forgive him though.

Back at home Daniel is sleeping, he again sees himself under the ribbon device and when he awakes Sha're is there with him, she tells him that tomorrow he will rise and return to his travels through the gate, he will also forgive Teal'c and find the boy. When Daniel turns round again Sha're is gone.
On Abydos Sha're's funeral goes ahead. After it is over Kasuf comes to see Daniel and tells him to go around the back of the tent and listen to Sha're. Sha're again appears and tells him to forgive Teal'c and find the boy. The boy Daniel is told is Harcesis and contains the knowledge of the Goa'uld. Sha're is again pulled away and Daniel reawakens at home.

Going to the SGC Daniel speaks to Sam about possible communication through the hand device, Sam is skeptical but says it could be possible. Daniel also tells Teal'c he did the right thing. Arriving back home Daniel finds Jack and Kasuf there.

Kasuf tells him that he must continue his travels, Sha're has told him this. Going through the door Kasuf indicates Daniel finds himself back on 873, he follows Sha're into the tent, he again finds himself under the ribbon device and hears Sha're's voice telling him to come to her. Daniel again awakens at home.
Daniel goes back to the SGC and speaks to Teal'c, he asks him about the Harcesis. Daniel now goes to see Hammond and requests his resignation withdrawn. On their first mission back together Daniel runs off through the gate to 873. Again he enters the tent and finds Sha're, she tells him that he is the only one who can save the boy, he has been hidden on the planet Kheb. Again Daniel finds himself under the ribbon device snd this time Teal'c shoots Sha're. Lying next to her body Daniel tells Teal'c he did the right thing.
