A Unas is being filmed taking some bait from a rock. Some men armed with staff weapons and zats approach it, it offers them some of the food but they zat it. At the SGC Daniel watches it all on a monitor.
In a briefing Daniel tells them the Unas that was abducted was Chaka (The First Ones). He wants to go and free Chaka and also find out where the people got Goa'uld weapons from. They have the gate co-ordinates from the video and Hammond gives them a go.
Arriving on the planet they see the locals have enslaved the Unas. Daniel and Jack go to the village and arrive during a Unas auction, they meet the man who took Chaka, he is called Burough. After they talk Burough shows them the Unas and Chaka recognises Daniel. Daniel tells Burough what they want but is told he can't have the Unas back. Jack says they could do a trade and Burough tells them he would only exchange Chaka for 2 Unas of equal quality. Jack says they will think about it.
Getting back to Sam and Teal'c Jack says that they will go in that evening and try to extract Chaka. The evening comes and the operation starts, they open up Chaka's cell but he will not leave without the other Unas. As they try to get him away they are attacked by Burough who zats them. The next morning Daniel and Jack wake up in cells. Chaka finds Daniels radio and they get it to Jack. Sam and Teal'c says they will try to get to the gate and ask for reinforcements. In their cells the other Unas recognise Chaka as their leader and he wouldn't leave without them. Burough arrives and speaks to them, he wants to know where the stargate goes. When they tell him nothing he uses a Goa'uld torture device on first Jack then Daniel. The Unas start making a lot of noise and Burough shoots one of them with Jack's P90. He tells Jack and Daniel he will kill one Unas a night until he gets what he wants.
Sam and Teal'c arrive at the gate site and find it heavily guarded, they head back to the village. Arriving at the village they come up with a plan to rescue Jack and Daniel. They create a diversion and Sam rescues Jack and Daniel plus some of the Unas. They get into the forest and meet up with Teal'c again. They find the gate unguarded but expect an ambush. The Unas go forward and are attack, a short fight commences and SG-1 with the Unas are victorious. Chaka finds himself one to one with Burough, he also has got hold of a staff weapon, he kills Burough. Daniel tells Chaka it is time to go but Chaka isn't going anywhere, he is staying here to free the other Unas.
