Daniel has come up with a new theory. If you look at worldwide myths there seem to be two kinds of 'stargods', the bad guys who enslaved humanity (ie. the Goa'uld) and the good gods who were culture bringers and protectors of humans against the enemies of mankind. One set of Gods that reportedly do this are the Norse Gods such as Thor who used a Hammer that threw out lightning to destroy their enemies. Teal'c has seen the Hammer symbol before, a world called Cimmeria that is off limits to all the Goa'uld. Hammond gives the mission a go, giving SG-1 a box that contains information on our culture before they depart.
On the planet Cimmeria SG-1 arrive and the locals near the gate start chanting 'Thor'. A Hammer device near the gate starts building a charge up, it suddenly shoots out some kind of beam that scans each of SG-1, finally resting on Teal'c who is now in great pain. Jack tries to push Teal'c out of the beam but they both disappear.
The beam rests on Teal'c.
A woman arrives, she introduces herself to Daniel and Sam as Gaerwin. Sam tells her what happened to Jack and Teal'c and that they are not Etens but friends. They tell Gaerwin that they are from Midgar, the ancient home of her people. Gaerwin takes them to see a woman called Kendra who was also taken by the beam but was found in the hills one winter.
Jack and Teal'c are in a cave, a hologram appears before them and tells them that it is Thor of the Asgard. Telling them to make their way to the Hall of Mjollnir and face the Hammer, only the host may leave, the Goa'uld may not, there Goa'uld weapons are also disabled. On their way to the hall they come across a room with a large pool of water, next to the pool are bones and dead Goa'uld, killed and eaten by something. As they leave the room something stirs.
Daniel and Sam arrive at Kendra's place, they observe her using a Goa'uld device on a young boy and find out she used to be a host. They ask for Kendra's help in finding the exit from the labyrinth. After consulting the Valkyrie (the wind and clouds) Kendra agrees to help.
Asking for Kendra's help.
In the caves they find that Teal'c's staff doesn't work, but projectile weapons will. As Jack fires his gun the creature in the pool area moves off after them. Catching up with them it introduces itself as Unas, the first one. When Teal'c refuses to serve it attacks them but Jack shoots it dead. After they leave the Unas's eyes glow, it starts to regenerate and moves off after them again.
After a great long trek Kendra, Daniel and Sam find the entrance to the caves, they find their way in and Kendra tells them she is sure something is alive in there.
The long trek to find the entrance to the labyrinth.
Jack and Teal'c find the exit hall and Jack goes to leave, he walks out free, but when Teal'c tries to follow he is stopped by an energy barrier that tries to kill his Goa'uld, Jack pushes him back in again and says he will not leave without him. The Unas arrives and they prepare to fight it, it pushes Jack out of the way and goes for Teal'c. As Teal'c holds it in the energy barrier Kendra, Daniel and Sam arrive on the other side of it. The Unas dies as the Goa'uld is killed and Daniel is given Teal'c's staff weapon which works on the other side of the barrier. Daniel destroys the device and they all leave.
Teal'c kills the Unas.
Back at the gate site SG-1 give Kendra the box they brought, they ask her to give it to Thor if he ever comes.
