THE PLOT

Sam is calculating some equations as the path to the planet they are going to passes near the sun, so they have to take into account its gravitational pull. As she goes to leave General Hammond notices a cut on her hand and gives her a note telling her to open it when they reach the other side.

Hammond gives Sam the note.

They exit the gate on the other side and find themselves back in the SGC, but it soon disappears and they find themselves underneath a Titan rock that is about to undergo a test firing. As it counts down Teal'c zats it and it fails to go off. A group of armed soldiers then enter the room.

A while later in a side room a man is cataloging all of SG-1's weapons and kit. He finds the note in Sam's pocket and reads it, it says to help them and gives two dates.

One of the soldiers finds the note.

SG-1 meanwhile are locked up in a cell. Sam has worked out that they must have travelled back in time, they must be careful not to alter history. Jack is then taken away for interrogation but he spins them a web of lies.

SG-1 are taken away in a van but during the journey it blows a tyre. The soldier who read the note comes around the back and tells them that he arranged the blow out. Sam notices the soldiers name, it is a young General Hammond. They find out the year is 1969 and manage to persuade Hammond to help them. Hammond unlocks them and they knock out the guards and destroy their kit, Jack then zats Hammond so he won't be court-martialled.

Hammond helps SG-1 escape.

They head towards the interstate while trying to decide what to do. Jack says that they will find the stargate and reverse what happened so they get home. The note from Hammond must be some help but they don't know what yet. Daniel suggests that they disguise themselves and go to see Catherine Langford as she will know where the gate is. Teal'c stops a hippy van and they meet Michael and Jenny who offer them a lift to New York. On the way they get some new clothes.

Teal'c stops the hippy van.

They stop off for a rest and Sam says that a Solar Flare must have caused them to time travel by slingshot the wormhole around the sun. As they discuss it they are overheard by Michael and Jenny. They tell them that they are aliens who need help in getting home, Michael and Jenny agree to help them.

The next day they drop Jack and Teal'c off at a solar observatory so they can see if the dates on Hammond's note are solar flares.

Jack and Teal'c visit the observatory.

Daniel and Sam meanwhile go to see Catherine. Daniel posses as a German friend off of Catherine's late father and they talk about the gate. Catherine tells them that it is locked away in an armoury in Washington DC. At the observatory Jack observes the solar flare, they need to get the DC by tomorrow evening.

Michael and Jenny want to come with them but are told they can't, they drop them off at the armoury.

Jack tells Michael and Jenny they can't come.

Inside the armoury they find the gate. They hook up some truck engines as generators to power it. They manually dial up the gate and after a little skirmish with the guards manage to get through it.

Arriving back in the SGC they find it deserted. Soon an elderly lady enters, it is Cassandra, they have arrived in the future. Cassandra sends them home telling them that there adventures are only just beginning.

Cassandra meets SG-1 in the future.
