SG-1 arrive back at the SGC after thinking they had found the planet Kheb, where Amonet hid the Harcesis child. Hammond orders them all to the infirmary and they are escorted there due to a chemical spill in the base. Once at the infirmary they are all injected with something that knocks them out.
SG-1 are all knocked out.
Teal'c awakes and overhears Hammond and Frasier discussing an invasion along with two aliens. Continuing to feign unconsciousness Teal'c is then taken away but manages to escape, he proceeds to get some weapons from the armoury and then rescues Sam. He tells her what is going on and that they seem to be unaffected by whatever it is because of the presence (in Sam's case, left over presence) of a Goa'uld in them. They make their way to the CCTV room and watch Daniel and Jack openly welcome to aliens through the gate. Some soldiers meanwhile find the men Teal'c knocked out, they check for a device on the mans chest and then raise the alarm.
Sam escapes through an air vent while Teal'c goes to cover her escape, but he is soon captured. Sam meanwhile gets to the city and phones Maybourne, telling him they have a foothold situation, he agrees to meet her.
Maybourne receives Sam's call.
At the SGC Teal'c is strapped to a bed. Frasier and Hammond tell him that he went crazy after being affected by the chemical fumes, they tell him Sam is also affected, he doesn't seem to believe them and tells them nothing.
Sam meanwhile meets with Maybourne. He has been contacted by Hammond and seems to think everything at the SGC is fine. Sam is furious and goes to leave, Daniel and Jack turn up. Sam is made to think that she could be suffering from the effects of the fumes and agrees to return to the SGC. Maybourne will also accompany them to base to check everything is okay.
Daniel and Jack convince Sam she has been hallucinating.
At the SGC they receive word that Sam is coming back. Frasier is told she can start experimenting on Teal'c.
On the plane back to the SGC Sam sees Jack shift back momentarily to an alien, she grabs Maybournes gun and shoot Jack when he charges her. Major Davies comes out of the cockpit and Sam also shoots his as he runs at them. Maybourne cuts himself to show Sam he is real and he guards Daniel and Sam checks out the pilot. Sam then checks over the alien bodies and finds the chest devices. She goes to Daniel and pulls his off, he reverts to an alien. Putting it on herself Sam turns into Daniel. Taking the device off again Sam tells Maybourne they need to find out what affected the devices, they decide it must have been engine noise and Sam says she can try to find out the correct frequency once back at the SGC.
At the SGC Jack awakes and finds himself attached to some kind of ceiling harness along with loads of other SGC members.
Jack wakes up.
Davies also wakes up and they both watch as Frasier enters with a technician and an alien, they put one of the SGC guards through a machine that connects him to the harnesses and then places one of the devices on the alien, it turns into the guard.
Frasier hooks up someone to the harnesses.
Once out of the harnesses Jack removes the head band from the real Frasier, soon her duplicate comes running and Jack knocks her out. Sam has meanwhile arrived at the SGC and disguises herself as Daniel, she makes her way to where Jack is and gets him upto speed on what is happening. Sam heads towards her lab while Jack frees Teal'c. Sam finds the frequency that interrupts the alien devices and hooks it up to broadcast through the bases loud speakers, all the aliens revert to their normal forms.
The aliens start to evacuate the base as Jack, Sam and Teal'c fight their way towards the control room.

Sam manages to shut down the gate just as Maybournes men arrive. The alien leader activates a self destruct and blows himself and everyone in the gate room up.

At a briefing they discuss what has happened and that the planet they first encountered the aliens has been locked out of the dialling computer. Sam says that a quick blast from her frequency device can protect them from this in the future and they end by thanking, all be it reluctantly, Maybourne for his help.
