Flashbacks to Redemption - Part One
They only have 54 hours left to stop Anubis. McKay says that they should send
a massive EM pulse back through the stargate to cause it to disengage.
Brat'ac has found a planet that they can't contact. Rya'c says that he is coming with them on the mission but Teal'c is against it. Rya'c asks his father if he truly doesn't doubt him then he would be allowed to come, he also wants to see the Goa'uld being defeated. Teal'c caves in to Rya'c's demands and allows him to come. Shaq'rel takes them in the cargo ship he came in. When they arrive at the planet they find in heavily guarded by orbiting Hat'ack ships.
At the SGC the EM generator is being put in place in front of the stargate. The blast doors are closed and the iris opened. The EM pulse fires and all the electrical equipment in the gate room shuts down. Nothing happens to the gate. Suddenly an electrical charge backfires into around the gate and EM generator. Sam manages to close the iris but she is knocked out by the charge.
Teal'c, Brat'ac and Rya'c are ringed to the surface where they come under attack
from
Jonas asks Sam how the gate was got into the gate room. She tells him that the roof above the gate opens up and leads to the surface, it was craned in. This gives Sam an idea. She holds a briefing and tells everyone that they are going to get the gate out of the base, attach it to the X-302 and fly it out of Earths atmosphere, allowing it to explode harmlessly in space.
Teal'c and Brat'ac are captured by the
Jack arrives at Area 51, he is to fly the 302. The ship has been attached to the back of a jumbo jet, with the gate attached underneath. Jack has to get to 50km before he can fire the rocket booster. However the ship starts loosing power at 48km and he has to fire it early. The 302 doesn't get high enough to escape the atmosphere and starts to fall back to Earth. McKay suggests they put the 302 into a nosedive and drop the gate into the ocean where the effects of the explosion will be reduced. Jack asks about using the hyperspace window generator for a small jump, it doesn't matter where it goes as long as it isn't here. Sam and McKay work on a sub-routine to programme into the 302 to produce a stable enough window to send the gate through. They go ahead with the plan and the gate explodes harmlessly in hyperspace. Jack ejected just before the ship entered the window.
Rya'c has managed to steal a Glider and rescues Teal'c and Brat'ac. He then attacks the stargate weapon and destroys it. The weapon however shut off before Rya'c could destroy it, they don't know if Earth is safe or not.
At the SGC they are all clearing up. The Russians have offered to trade for their gate but with the possibilities of Anubis doing this again then that gate will have to be buried. They receive a communication from Teal'c who tells them that they have destroyed the weapon.
Teal'c, Brat'ac and Rya'c arrive back at the SGC as the Russian gate is being
installed into the base. Jonas talks to Jack about him joining SG-1 but Jack
just stonewalls him.
Jack, Sam and Teal'c wait in the gate room, ready to head out. Jonas arrives, outfitted in SGC field uniform. They all head out together.
