THE PLOT

A reporter approaches Sam about a top secret project called 'Prometheus', she also has a piece of trinium. Sam talks to Hammond and says she denied everything but was caught by surprise. Hammond says that they are tracing Miss Donovan as there has obviously been a leak and Major Davis is going to see her. Davis tells Donovan to drop the story but she will not do it unless she is told all about it. Davis goes back to Hammond and tells him they have a problem, Hammond calls the President.

Sam and Davis go to the channel Donovan works for. Her producer tells her the story is canned as the President has personally asked them to drop it. They still haven't found out who has leaked the information though and agree to let Donovan and a crew have a personal tour of 'Prometheus' for the name of the person who told them about it.

They arrive at the site and are taken down several hundred feet, Prometheus is there, it is a large spacecraft. While Donovan and her producer are given the tour her crew set up. They unpack zats and stun the 2 guards. Sam is in the engine room with the others when she notices the computer has stopped running its tests, she tries to contact the bridge and when she can't she heads off down there. She runs into some of the camera crew but manages to get away and hides in a storage area, the crew lock her in.

Jonas sets a full diagnostic going to slow the intruders down and removes a control crystal so they can't reset the system. The crew arrive in the engine room and Donovan's producer tells them that Jonas removed a crystal and gives it to them, he has been paid off by them. When they start threatening Donovan he says they never mentioned hurting people, they shoot him, Jonas stops the diagnostic. They start up the hyperdrive and prepare to overload it, they now make their demands, Colonel Simmons and Adrian Conrad are to be released and sent to the ship otherwise they blow it up, taking half of Colorado with them.

Carter manages to contact O'Neill and Davies outside. They tell her that there are control crystals in the section above her, if she can remove them the ship is grounded. Sam finds a cutter and gets to work on the door.

Simmons and Conrad are sent to the ship. Conrad goes to the engine room, he is there to get the hyperdrive up and running properly. Simmons takes control of the ship and they set off into orbit, Carter just manages to get out of the section she was in as it wasn't pressurized. O'Neill and Teal'c decide to use the Gliders they got from Anubis to land on the ship, luckily Prometheus's sensors aren't fully operational and if they approach correctly they will be undetected.

Carter manages to get to the control crystals and pulls them out, the ship starts to descend back into the atmosphere. As she leaves the area she is caught but O'Neill and Teal'c arrive just in time. Conrad manages to get the hyperdrive operational and they hyperjump.

Simmons can't contact his men and goes to find them, however Conrad arrives and tries to take control. Simmons and Conrad fight and Simmons shoots him. O'Neill and Teal'c are on their way to free Jonas and Donovan when they are attacked by Simmons, he is now a Goa'uld. As he fights with Teal'c, O'Neill manages to open an airlock and Simmons is blow out into space.

The ship has arrived at its destination but there is nothing there. Sam says she can't plot a course back to Earth as she has no idea where they are. As they drift an Asgard ship arrives, it is Thor. Thor tells them that the Replicators are on the verge of victory and they need SG-1 and the ship ... TO BE CONTINUED
