As they are discussing it the gate dials up and the iris is closed. The Goa'uld are sending things through the gate but they are stopped by the iris. Kawalsky complains about a headache and is sent to the infirmary.
Jack is called into see Hammond, Teal'c will not be allowed to join SG-1 as a Col. Kennedy is coming to take Teal'c away for questioning and 'experimentation'. Jack goes to see Teal'c and asks him about when the Goa'uld will stop sending stuff to Earth, he is told they will likely try 1 or 2 more times. Teal'c promises his allegiance to this world and Jack says that he believes him but others won't.
Jack and Teal'c talk.
In the infirmary a Doctor is examining Kawalsky. As he does he notices something move up inside Kawalsky's back. Suddenly Kawalsky's eyes glow and he kills the Doctor. Daniel is giving a briefing when they notice Kawalsky in the embarkation room, Jack goes to see him and Kawalsky says he doesn't know how he got there.
Col. Kennedy arrives and starts to question Teal'c. Teal'c tells them about the way the Goa'uld rule and some other information, but he doesn't know about the technology they use or the gate. They tell Teal'c that humans originated from this world, we are the Tau'ri. Teal'c tells them that they are his and the other humans spread throughout the galaxies best hope.
In the infirmary a Doctor Warner finds a Goa'uld wrapped around Kawalsky's spine. As he sets off the alarm Kawalsky escapes and heads towards the control room. He starts to dial up the gate and takes Sam hostage. He heads to a lift and when it reaches the floor where everyone is waiting for him Kawalsky is himself again and doesn't know what has happened.
Kawalsky takes Sam hostage.
Back in the infirmary they tell Kawalsky he has a Goa'uld inside him and ask him how it could have happened, he remembers on Chulak feeling a sharp pain in his neck but thought nothing of it, that must have been when the Goa'uld infested him. Warner tells Hammond that removing it will be very dangerous and may even kill Kawalsky.
They go to see Teal'c and check he still has his Goa'uld, he does. They ask him what the Goa'uld may want and he suggests they talk to it.
Consulting Teal'c.
The Goa'uld takes control of Kawalsky and they ask it what it wants, it demands to be allowed back through the gate or it will destroy us. As the soldiers move in on Kawalsky, as the Goa'uld is getting very agitated, he regains control of himself.
Kennedy holds a briefing to discuss the situation and says he wants the Goa'uld left in Kawalsky, this is a chance to have one of the enemy in their hands. Hammond and O'Neill are against it and Warner is given the go ahead to proceed with the operation to remove it.
Testing some amnestic on Teal'c they find one that seems to sedated the Goa'uld symbiote. Kawalsky tells Jack that he wants to be cremated if he dies. He thanks Jack for everything and says it was an honour to serve with him.
They start the operation and after a quick scare they symbiote is removed from Kawalsky.
Kawalsky goes under the knife.
Kawalsky wakes up after the operation and seems to be his normal self. He asks to see Teal'c before Teal'c is sent off with Kennedy. Left alone together Kawalsky is suddenly taken over by the Goa'uld again, it fooled them and now has control of Kawalsky whenever it wants. Knocking Teal'c to the ground Kawalsky heads to the control room and dials up the gate, he then heads to embarkation, but Teal'c stands between him and the gate. They fight and Teal'c shoves Kawlasky's head into the wormhole. Hammond and Jack arrive and shut down the wormhole with half of Kawalsky's head still in it, he is killed instantly.
Jack and Teal'c stand over Kawalsky's body.
Hammond gets authorisation from the President for Teal'c to stay at the SGC and he is allowed to join SG-1. They set off on their first mission to P3-575.
