SG-1 look for a downed UAV in a forest. They find it, hit by a staff blast. As they turn to leave they find they have been enclosed by an energy barrier. A man approaches and introduces himself as one of the greatest hunters in the galaxy, Aris Boch, they have never heard of him, but he knows who they are.
Boch approaches a trapped SG-1.
Boch orders them to drop their weapons but Jack tries to throw a knife through the barrier, it fails and they reluctantly drop their weapons. Boch takes SG-1 through the forest at gun point, on reaching a clearing he orders them to stop and says a word, a door opens behind Jack, it is a cloaked Goa'uld transport ship, Boch orders them inside and locks them up.
Boch leaves the ship and SG-1 discuss a way to escape. Jack suggests they fly the ship but Sam points out it would take about 10 years to get to Earth. In the forest Boch has been injured and heads back towards the ship. Arriving back he orders Sam to administer some medicine, Boch tells them that he is hunting a Goa'uld called Kel'tar, Sokar has paid him to capture Kel'tar and he wants SG-1's help in exchange for their freedom.
Boch takes Daniel and Jack with him while Sam and Teal'c are left in the ship. Boch tells Daniel and Jack that he wants them to capture Kel'tar by zatting him, he then gives Jack and zat gun, Jack proceeds to zat Boch. Daniel and Jack head back to the ship, after they have gone Boch wakes up. Arriving back at the clearing Daniel gets the door open and they go inside, as they try and free Sam and Teal'c they set off a self-destruct.
Jack watches the self-destruct countdown.
Trying to shut down the self-destruct they find that one of the crystals needed to do so is missing. Boch arrives back and replaces the crystal and stands there while the countdown reaches 0, nothing happens and he puts the crystal back in place. Boch then frees them all and says they will help him find Kel'tar. Keeping Sam with him as a hostage he lets Daniel, Jack and Teal'c go for Kel'tar. Disabling his remote weapons they force Kel'tar out of the cave he is hiding in. On recovering Kel'tar recognises them as SG-1 and says he is actually Kor'a, a member of the Tok'ra.
Kel'tar says he is really Kor'a.
Kor'a says that Sam would recognise him, that is why Boch kept her, he tells them that he will not allow himself to be taken by Sokar as it would result in the loss of many Tok'ra lives. Meanwhile Sam and Aris have been talking about the Tok'ra/Goa'uld, he says he hates them all and there is no difference between them, Sam says he is wrong. Boch can't see the others and stuns Sam.
Aris and Sam talk.
The others arrive back where they left Boch and Sam, Jack goes to get Sam even though they expect it to be a trap. Boch arrives in his ship.
Boch arrives in his ship.
Daniel, Kor'a and Teal'c run off but are soon captured. Boch tells SG-1 they can go and then suddenly stuns Kor'a, he removes some poison from his mouth. Boch is no having serious doubts over what to do, why would a Goa'uld try to kill himself to protect others? They manage to convince Boch to let Kor'a go, but he will have to take someone to Sokar, Teal'c says to take him. SG-1 and Kor'a leave.
Boch's ship leaves.
On the way to Sokar's ship Teal'c convinces Boch to let him go. Destroying his own ship both men escape to the surface via the life pods.
Boch's ship explodes.
SG-1 and Kor'a leave the planet, Boch having given Sam some Rasch'na which hopefully they can one day find a antidote or replacement for so his race can be free from the Goa'uld, that is something he tells Sam, that would be worth trading for.
