In some kind of labour camp and alarm goes and Teal'c wakes up. Under what appears to be a glacier a woman thanks a gathered crowd of workers for the work they have put in during this period, due to their effort they have enough reserves to power their heaters for another 2 months, in the crowd are Daniel, Jack and Sam. At meal time Sam is given some soup and asks the attendant for bread, she is refused it. Jack gets angry and tries to get the bread but Daniel stops him and starts a fight with him, it seems they don't know each other.

Daniel and Jack don't remember each other.

Teal'c interrupts them and says that they are friends and are part of SG-1, they must remember. Teal'c is dragged off and the woman who addressed them earlier, called Brena, tells Jack that Teal'c has nightsickness and will be treated for it. Jack says he is happy to serve and doesn't know Teal'c.

Five days later Daniel is helping a friend, Kaygan. He sees Teal'c who has apparently been cured. In another part of the power station a valve blows, Sam tells Brena she knows how to cure the problem and Brena tells her to come to her office later with the ideas. Arriving at Brena's office Sam is watched by Kaygan, she doesn't like either Sam or Jack, Daniel though is pondering Teal'c's words.

At the SGC Hammond activates a video link threw the gate to an Administrator Calder. Calder tells Hammond there is no news of SG-1 and that they were very interested in seeing the Glacier, against Calder's wishes, but Jack said they could handle it. Hammond tells Calder he will send a team threw to search for them.

In Calder's office he gives a secretary a note, he wants to see Brena and wants to know how his new workers are doing.

During the night Daniel has a dream about Jack and the stargate. The next day he goes to see Teal'c and asks him about what he said, but Teal'c denies everything and tells Daniel he doesn't know him. Daniel goes back to Kaygan, she tells him to drop it, they don't want him to be mistaken for having nightsickness.

The next day Brena goes to see Calder, she tells him that Teal'c has had his memory restamped and now seems to be working perfectly happily. She shows Calder Sam's plans but he refuses them saying that she could automate the plant to much and them they wouldn't know what to do with the workers, the people of the city certainly wouldn't accept them, it could ruin their civilisation.

Sam goes to see Brena and is told that her plans will not be implemented, she isn't pleased but says she is happy to serve. Jack tells her to be patient and maybe offer up something smaller next time.

Back at the SGC the team Hammond sent to find SG-1 report back, SG-1 are nowhere to be seen and there is no trace of them what so ever, the CO of the unit, Major Griff tells Hammond that there is no way SG-1 would have gone out to the glacier, he believes Calder to be lying.

Back at the power station Daniel talks to Kaygan, he is asking her more questions and wants to know if he used to be friends with Jack and Sam, Kaygan tells him that he didn't and if he befriends them she won't be his friend anymore. Teal'c meanwhile is regulating a pressure valve when he collapses, the pressure starts to build to dangerous levels, but Sam, Jack and Daniel team up to fix it.

Teal'c is transferred to the infirmary where Brena tells him to rest. She thanks the others for saving the plant and Sam tells her that if she had implemented her plans this would never have happened, Brena tells her to drop it. Walking back to their work Daniel says that he feels they know each other and are meant to be doing something important, they agree to meet that evening.

During the night Daniel, Jack and Sam meet up. They discuss their memories and find they can't remember anything solid about their time before they worked in this plant. During the conversation Sam calls Jack 'Sir', and dismisses it as being just an expression.

At the SGC, Hammond and Frasier talk, apparently Calder has told them that a search of the city has come up negative. Hammond tells her that they were going to do a swap, stargate information in exchange for chemical and metallurgical advances, Hammond says that Calder would need our help more than us his and they will break off diplomatic relations if necessary. Major Griff is devising a covert search and rescue op. to find SG-1 and Frasier volunteers for it.

At the plant Daniel, Jack and Sam talk again. Jack sees a bowl and takes it, he has a flashback to a meeting between him and Calder in the city. In the infirmary the Doctor is told by Brena not to remove Teal'c's bandages around his pouch. When they have both gone Teal'c awakes and removes them. Jack and Sam talk, it appears Jack remembers having feelings for Sam.

In the city Brena tells Calder that it appears SG-1 are remembering and that Teal'c is dieing. Calder tells her to put them outside where they will die, Brena isn't happy about it but Calder reminds her that they judged them and is just repaying the favour.

During the night Jack dreams of his meeting with Calder, it appears that SG-1 found out about the slaves in the plant and were going to tell Hammond to break off diplomatic relations, Calder had their memories erased and put them in the plant to work.

Jack has a dream.

The next morning Brena calls SG-1 into her office, along with Teal'c. She tells them the truth and that she will help them escape. At that moment Calder enters and shoots Brena in the arm. Calder and his guards turn there backs on an unconscious Teal'c who awakes and attack, also giving SG-1 the opportunity to overcome Calder. Before escaping Daniel suggests they tell the slaves what is really going on, Jack agrees and they take Calder into the plant and tell the slaves the truth.

They don't believe SG-1 so Jack shoots out on of the supposed ice covered skylight, above is a city in bright sunshine. Calder tells SG-1 that the people here will never be accepted in the city, Jack tells him that they will be taken to a world where it is warm and there are lots of beaches, there they can start there own lives.
