THE PLOT

The episode starts with a reprise of the season 4 cliffhanger Exodus.

Apophis arms weapons and tells SG-1 to prepare to die. Daniel says that they surrender, hoping to buy some more time, but Apophis will have none of it. Apophis fires but the energy blasts miss SG-1's ship, Apophis is firing at another ship that is coming in fast, the other ship is also firing at him. Jacob takes this opportunity to move their ship away.

Jacob hides the ship in the radiation of the systems blue giant sun, but they can only stay there for one hour unless the shields can be fixed, if they can they will have 10 hours. Sam and Jacob go off to fix the shields leaving Jack and Daniel to talk about the events on Vorash. An hour later the shields have been fixed, they look at the hyperdrive crystals but find they are completely bust.

At the SGC a Tok'ra representative arrives, she tells Hammond that they haven't heard anything from Selmak or SG-1 since the sun went supernova, they did however detect a one man pod leave Apophis's ship and they tracked it as far as they could into Goa'uld territory. The Tok'ra don't think Jacob or SG-1 will have survived but Hammond hasn't given up hope.

Back on the ship Jacob and Sam are trying to fix the hyperdrive but are getting nowhere, they have run out of time and will have to leave the sun's protection. They find Apophis's ship stranded with no life signs, they decide that they should either take the ship or at the least recover some hyperdrive crystals.

Arriving on Apophis's ship they find the self-destruct has been set. Jacob heads off to the Pel'tak to see if he can stop it while Jack and Sam go to get some crystals. Rounding a corner they find a load of dead Jaffa, as they examine one of them they find the ship has Replicators aboard.

Jack and Sam get some crystals and they all make it back to the rings just in time, moving their own ship away Apophis's ship explodes.

Jacob manages to get the hyperdrive running again but before they leave they detect a ship approaching, it is Teal'c and some Jaffa in a cargo ship. Letting them land they go to meet him, only to find Apophis there, he has brainwashed Teal'c into believing he is again his First Prime.

Apophis's men transport cargo from to the Ha'tack, as they leave some of the containers Replicators break out of it. Jacob is still at large and goes to free SG-1, unfortunately he is also captured and locked up with them. On the Pel'tak Apophis orders course set for Delmak and they enter hyperspeed. A while later the ships sensors stop working and it drops out of hyperspeed, Teal'c goes to check it out and finds the engine room has been infested with Replicators.

The door to the room SG-1 are in opens slightly and a Replicator crawls in, this allows SG-1 and Jacob to escape. On the Pel'tak Apophis receives the news from Teal'c and goes to look personally, he doesn't get very far and leaves his Jaffa to die at the hands of Replicators as he locks himself on the Pel'tak. SG-1 meanwhile get some weapons and Jacob and Daniel go to prep the cargo ship while Jack and Sam will rescue Teal'c. Setting up an ambush they get Teal'c, but Jack has to shoot him.

On the Pel'tak Apophis is trying to regain control of the ship, he suddenly hears a metallic scuttling behind him, the Replicators have broken through. Jack and Sam get to the cargo ship and they are about to leave when the ship enters hyperspeed. They find out the ship is heading to Delmak but that it is traveling far faster than it should, the Replicators have obviously modified the engines. They decide that they will have to destroy the ships sub-light engines as that will mean it will not slow down when exiting hyperspeed and smash straight into Delmak. Jack, Daniel and Sam go to do this while Jacob prepares for their departure. Arriving in the engine room they find a massive Replicator structure around the engines, Sam opens the panel for the sub-light controls and when the ship exits hyperspeed Jack shoots them, they them leg it as hundreds of Replicators chase them.

The ship travels straight towards Delmak, unable to slow down, SG-1 manage to get back to the cargo ship with the help of Jacob ringing them there from another level. Jacob pilots the ship out of the cargo bay.

On the Pel'tak Apophis has his personal shield activated, it has Replicators crawling over it. SG-1 watch as the ship smashes into the surface of the planet.

Jack goes to see Teal'c, he tells him Apophis is dead, Teal'c tells him that a god can't die.
