THE PLOT

Wounded Tok'ra are arriving at Stargate Commands Alpha Site. O'Neill is told that SG-12 was all but wiped out when the Goa'uld attacked the Tok'ra base. Jacob arrives with another Tok'ra called Malek. Malek informs Jack and Sam that Anubis has attacked them again. Another Tok'ra, Optre, also arrives and immediately comes to blows with one of the free Jaffa at the base called Orker.

The Tok'ra hold a funeral for their dead and again Optre and Orker come to blows. Later Jack and Jacob speak. Jacob apologises to Jack for what happened to him with Kanan. Jacob tells Jack that there will be tension between the Jaffa and Tok'ra as whenever a Tok'ra has died it is often at the hands of a Jaffa.

Carter has found something wrong with the bases Naquada Generator, it has been tampered with and would have blown up destroying a large area if she hadn't have found it. The Tok'ra are told about the sabotage and that they will be investigated first using a Ze'tarc that they brought with them.

A while later Optre is found dead and Orker is arrested. Orker is tested by the Ze'tarc and fails it, he is lying about something he was asked. Dr Frasier has completed an autopsy on Optre and says that he was killed by a ceremonial knife. The killer knew exactly where to strike to kill instantly. An alarm sounds and they all rush out of med lab, they go to the cell where Orker was being held, he is dead, again killed by a bladed weapon.

Outside the cell there is a standoff between the Tok'ra and Jaffa, weapons are drawn and for a moment it looks as if it may get nasty but it is eventually defused. Brat'ac finds some footprints nearby but he can not tell if they are Tok'ra or Jaffa. A head count is conducted to see if anyone is missing, no one is.

A search starts for whoever is doing this. In each party are a Jaffa, Tok'ra and Tau'ri. Teal'c finds one of the teams dead, while O'Neill, Brat'ac and Malek hear movement in the bushes ahead of them. Brat'ac and Malek go forward cautiously, but something watches them from the trees. As they get below the tree Brat'ac seems to sense something and pushes Malek away. Brat'ac struggles with something, but it is invisible and Brat'ac is knocked to the ground and dragged away. Malek looks on with a look of fear and horror on his face.

Teal'c is strangling Malek in revenge for him letting Brat'ac be taken. Jacob asks Jack to stop it but after only a half hearted effort from Jack he has to speak to Teal'c on his own, he gets him to stop. Malek tells them that their enemy is invisible. They have no TER's available so Carter and Malek decide to rig the generator to create an energy field that would bring down any invisibility cloak; however it will only work in very close proximity to whoever is wearing it. They set up the generator near the gate. Frasier has carried out the autopsy on the team they found killed, they were all done with a bladed weapon. Teal'c informs them that it is an Ashrak they are facing. As they prepare the Ashrak attacks and takes a GDO from them. It is now vital they stop it leaving alive.

They get the generator online, the Ashrak is among them. They try and kill it but to no avail. The generator goes down and Jack picks up a machine gun and circles round with it. The generator goes up again and the Ashrak is still alive and runs at Jack. As it nears him it is shot in the back and killed by Brat'ac who has managed to stagger back to the base. Brat'ac tells them that the knife has made them allies against a common enemy, they will fight together now.
