THE PLOT

Flashbacks to Frozen.

A man and woman are being chased by Jaffa towards a stargate. The woman collapses and says she can't go any further, the man tells her to hide and follow him when the gate is open. As he gets to the stargate he is hit by a staff blast, he falls to floor and a symbiote crawls out of him. The Jaffa catch up and call him a Tok'ra, they turn him over, it is O'Neill. Later O'Neill wakes up in a sarcophagus and hears someone say "the host lives my lord."

The Tok'ra Councillor Toran arrives at SGC. Hammond demands to know where O'Neill is but Toran says he has bad news, O'Neill walked out of the Tok'ra base overnight and they don't know where he is. Toran says the Tok'ra have accepted Kainan as lost but Hammond says they don't leave anyone behind and won't be giving up so easily.

O'Neill is placed inside a gravity trap and pinned against a wall. The Goa'uld System Lord Baal enters and demands to know why O'Neill is here and what Tok'ra he was. When Jack doesn't tell him what he wants, Baal kills him.

Jack is again revived in a sarcophagus. He is placed in a cell that has its gravity controlled so he can't escape. He sees a woman at the cell 'door' asking "Is it you?” Suddenly Daniel appears but Jack thinks he is an illusion, Daniel however convinces him otherwise. Daniel tells Jack that he is here to console a friend but can't break Jack out. When Daniel finds out Jack doesn't know any of the information Baal wants he decides to help him ascend.

Toran isn't being allowed to leave SGC until he gives them Kainan's mission briefings, he reluctantly agrees to get them.

In the cell Jack asks Daniel to do something, get him a zat or anything, Daniel refuses. As the guards come to get Jack again Daniel disappears. Baal tortures Jack with acid and wants to know what the name of the Tok'ra symbiote was. At first Jack will or can't tell him but as Baal threatens to use the acid again Jack breaks and gives him the name. Baal rewards Jack by neutralising the acid and tells him that he will get the information in his mind, Jack is sent back to his cell.

Back in the cell Jack again sees the woman but when Daniel appears she disappears. They talk and Daniel tells Jack that he is smarter than he lets on, the Asgard didn't name a ship after him because it was a cool name but because they saw humanities potential in him. Jack tells Daniel he can't take much more of Baal's torture and doesn't want to see the cell again, he asks Daniel to make sure he can't be revived again. Daniel is shocked by Jack's request.

Sam, Jonas and Teal'c are going through Kainan's mission reports and decide that he must have had a strong reason to leave and risk his host’s life. Sam finds information on Baal's fortress and Kainan’s mission there, she finds out that Kainan used Baal's lotar, a female, to gain access to high level information. They think O'Neill's make up in not wanting to leave people behind may have caused Kainan to look at himself and go back for her.

Jack sees the female again and she asks "Is it you?" She says that if she leaves with him then 'he' will know. The female disappears and Baal is there, he tells Jack that he believes him and that he doesn't knowingly know anything, however the information is there is his mind, locked away and he will get it.

Jack is again revived and put in his cell, however Daniel is not there. Teal'c meanwhile is in Kelnorim. He suddenly opens his eyes and goes to see Hammond. Teal'c tells Hammond that a Goa'uld mothership could attack Baal's fortress, they don't have one but a Goa'uld System Lord would. They send a message to Yu telling him about Baal's fortress, this upsets the Tok'ra but Hammond doesn't care. They hope Yu will attack and it will give O'Neill a chance to escape.

Baal asks Jack more questions. He wants to know why Kainan was interested in his slave. Jack is sent back to his cell and Daniel is there this time. Jack tells Daniel that Kainan loved Baal's slave and that if he doesn't do anything to help he will tell Baal this, thus getting the woman in serious trouble. Daniel tells Jack that it won't matter, it is nearly over, Sam, Jonas and Teal'c came up with an idea. At that time Yu's forces start to attack and the power goes down, the gravity in Jack's cell reverts to normal and he escapes. In the corridors he finds the female slave and takes her with him.

Jack wakes up back at SGC. He thanks his friends for helping him and asks for some water. They all leave and Daniel appears, Jack thanks him and Daniel tells him everything will be alright. When Sam comes back in Daniel is gone.
