Jack is at home having a BBQ when he notices Maybourne is sitting on his wall. Jack asks him what he wants, Maybourne says that he wants Jack to get him a presidential pardon in exchange for information on the planet that Simmons wanted to get to, on which there is a large cache of advanced weapons. Maybourne also asks Jack to take him with them. Maybourne tells Jack that the planet has a gate and gives him the address, however it will do him no good as there is a force field protecting the weapons and he has the key.
At a briefing they decide to go to the planet in question and get past the force field themselves. They arrive on the planet and go to some buildings. The place is abandoned but Jonas says that the writings present are of one of the Ancient Alliance, the Furlings. Sam has a look at the place the key would go, however the technology is too advanced.
Jack returns to SGC and informs
On the planet Maybourne uses the artefact in the key hole, nothing happens. Sam goes over to look at it and Maybourne grabs her zat, he stuns her and knocks Jack to the ground. He activates the doorway force field and goes towards it. Jack jumps at him and they both go through. They arrive in the middle of nowhere. Maybourne tells Jack that this place is not a weapons cache but a paradise retreat, he wants to retire here. He also tells Jack that it is a one way trip.
Back at SGC a UAV is launched to try and find Jack & Maybourne, it detects nothing. Jack & Maybourne find a small settlement, the place is in ruins and there are a number of skeletons. A science team have arrived at the planet site from SGC, they are studying the place to try and determine where Jack & Maybourne were sent. After a week the team return home, much to Sam's annoyance. They have found nothing.
Maybourne complains to Jack about noises he is hearing at night, he is constantly eating a plant and seems a bit on edge. He says he can't ea the plant anymore and throws a grenade into the water, they now have fish! As they eat it seems quite clear Maybourne is getting paranoid, he demands Jack give him one of his guns so he can protect himself. Jack tells him that the only thing he needs to be afraid of is him. Later Jack hides some ammo and grenades, but someone is watching.
The Tok'ra contact SGC, they have been able to scan the planet for human life signs but found none.
Two Weeks Later
Jack wakes up, his P-90 is gone. He picks up his handgun and goes to check his hideout, the ammo and grenades are also gone. He sees some drawings made by the previous inhabitants, they contain maps and also a counter (I presume for the population). Jack is also eating the plant Maybourne was earlier. Jack starts searching out the bodies and marking them off on the list he found. He hears some noises and goes to investigate and also look for Maybourne. He finds some more ruins and bodies, one of them had a Goa'uld inside.
At SGC Teal'c finds Sam alone in the women’s locker room, she is crying. She tells him that it’s too soon after the loss of Daniel to cope with loosing someone else. Teal'c comforts here.
Jack continues to look for Maybourne. He sets off a grenade trap and injures himself. As he is on the floor some pig like creature runs at him, he shoots at it but also hits a hidden Maybourne. Maybourne runs off and Jack shouts after him that he should stop eating the plant as its messing with his head.
At SGC Sam is looking at some photos of the artefact Maybourne had, she suddenly notices something. She watches one of the videos they filmed on the first day they were on the planet, there is a moon visible in the sky. On the artefact is a moon symbol and also a line pointing to it, she surmises that Jack & Maybourne must have been sent there.
Jack wakes up back at the camp, Maybourne is waiting for him. Jack tries to tell him that a Goa'uld brought the plant to the camp as it couldn't bring weapons and it destroyed everyone, as its doing them. Maybourne isn't listening and starts to attack. Jack gets behind him and tells him to drop his gun, Maybourne won't and Jack shoots him. Jack tells him that he isn't trying to kill him but he is loosing a lot of blood.
A day later Maybourne wakes up, he apologises to Jack for getting him into this and for attacking him, Jack says it isn't his fault that he went psycho. As they talk a Tok'ra ship arrives, Maybourne says he will not go back to Earth. Jack says he is sure the Tok'ra can find him a nice little planet.
